Sylvia Rex Folk Instrument Collection on display at Wofford
Spartanburg resident Sylvia Rex, a native of Hungary, sees the way in
which various peoples of the world developed musical instruments with
shared characteristics as an indication of our universal common bonds.
Her large collection of folk instruments from around the world
illustrates the point. She is sharing some of that insight with
an exhibit of a portion of her collection, which she donated this
spring to the Sandor Teszler Library at Wofford College. The Rex Collection is on display in the library gallery through Aug. 15.
